What is the wise thing to do?

This past Monday, we began our study of the Best Question Ever. The main highlight of our study was the question: In light of my past experience, current situation, and future hopes and dreams, what is the wise thing to do?? We will learn more about this over the next few weeks.

This coming week, we are doing Session 2 and having Mexican for dinner. We will try to start the dvd at 6:35 or so to ensure we have enough time.

Lets find out what the best question ever is

Thanks everyone for all of the valuable input you provided this past Monday. We will work on integrating some of the points you brought up to help us have more biblical fellowship and sanctification. This coming Monday we are starting our new study. Session 1 of the Andy Stanley series…The Best Question Ever. For dinner, it is Italian Night. We are bringing Hamburger Helper Penne Pasta.

Also, I am sorry we ran out of time and didn’t get to discuss what types of studies you prefer or other ideas you had for studies, but I do want to know what you think. Please let me know.

Vision Casting

This coming Monday, we are going to discuss why we meet every week. We are going to talk about the Biblical benefits of our group and try to focus on meeting those. For your homework this week, think about what you get out of coming to our group, and think about what types of studies you like to do.

For dinner, we will be having things that go together. We will be bringing beans and cornbread.

First Post of the Year

This is the plan for the near future. Next week, we will be discussing 1 Peter 5. For dinner, bring an old favorite (since we tried something new last week). We will be bringing chili. Let us know what you are bringing.

I have updated the schedule to the left through March. Our next study will be the Andy Stanley study: The Best Question Ever. Let me know if you would like a book. I believe they will be approximately $8.00 each.

The week before we start that study, we will be having a vision casting meeting. We will discuss the purposes of the homegroup so that we can try to accomplish what God wants through our time together. We will also talk about what you guys would like to study in the future. So be thinking about what you would like to talk about.
